Changes Impacting Workers’ Comp Policies:

URGENT! For California based companies – Senate Bill 189 has replaced Assembly Bill No. 2883 amending the CA Labor Code. Effective 7/1/18 – the major change in the new law is: all officers who do not have at least 10% ownership in the company are NOT ELIGIBLE to be excluded on the Workers Compensation policy.

You should be receiving a notice, by mail, from your Workers’ Compensation Insurance carrier if you haven’t already. If you’re not a customer of Dickerson’s Property & Casualty department already, and you haven’t been made aware of this change by your current broker, check with us to see how we may be able to help you. In addition, we can help with General Liability, Property, Commercial Auto, Directors & Officers coverage, Employment Practices Liability Insurance and more!

These big changes in Workers’ Comp regulation will go into effect on July 1, 2018. They WILL affect your policy, so be sure to read up on it.  Click here for more details.
